Choosing a research-peptide supplier comes down to a single question: can you trust what's in the vial — and can you prove it? Everything below is a way of answering that question with evidence rather than marketing. For research-procurement reference only.

The green flags

Per-batch COAs, published up front. Every product should show its own batch Certificate of Analysis — visible on the product page, not "available on request." The certificate should tie to the exact lot number you receive.

Third-party, accredited testing. Purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry, performed by an independent lab. A supplier that only tests in-house is grading its own work.

Lot traceability you control. You should be able to verify your exact vial by entering its lot number and pulling that batch's results. Verification you initiate beats documentation you request.

Clear research-use-only labeling and compliant policies. Honest suppliers state plainly that materials are for laboratory research, with no consumption claims, and back it with real terms, privacy, and refund policies.

Proper fulfillment. Discreet, tracked shipping with appropriate handling — lyophilized peptides are stable in transit, but professional packaging signals a professional operation.

Transparent business information and responsive support. A real address, real contact channels, and support that answers technical questions about COAs and handling.

The red flags

  • COAs only "on request," or a single generic certificate reused across every batch.
  • No independent lab named — or no testing mentioned at all.
  • No lot tracking, so you can't verify the specific vial you received.
  • Vague purity claims ("99%+ guaranteed") with no chromatogram or document behind them.
  • Health, medical, or dosing claims of any kind. This is simultaneously a compliance violation and a tell that the seller isn't operating as a research supplier. Walk away.
  • Prices that are too good to be true, especially with no documentation — cutting the testing is the easiest way to cut cost.

How to actually test a supplier
